We had a difficult transaction and between Jordan and Sheldon, they got the house sold (for the 2nd time) in short order just in time for closing of the house we purchased. It’s not that conditions weren’t lifted – they were. It was a ‘firm deal’ and the buyer lost their deposit.
Jordan and Sheldon didn’t take their 1/2 of the deposit to which they’re entitled to and earned; rather, they graciously offered it to us to help in the event we had to accept less. They remained calm and approached the challenge methodically and got the job done. They sold the house for a little less money but the deposit made up for the difference.
They are a great resource for all real estate needs. We asked for a designer to help in our new home and within minutes, they recommended a local designer who is professional and responsive.

“I recently bought a house with my fiancé in Calgary inner city using Jordan Smeaton as our realtor. We had a great experience with Jordan and with his associates. When we first started looking for a house, we didn’t know exactly what we wanted, and we weren’t in a hurry to buy. Jordan was very accommodating to our pace and was always available to show us the homes we were interested in seeing. He was also very familiar with the neighborhoods we were looking at, and would help us narrow down our selections by pointing out different attributes about the areas that we were unaware of.
Once we found a home we were seriously interested in, Jordan made the process of making an offer and purchasing the house as stress free as it could be. He was always available to answer questions and willing to meet with us in the evenings to work around our schedules.
We requested Jordan refer us to a lawyer to handle our purchase and Jordan referred us to Clark and Clark who did a wonderful job working through the purchase and some of the complications with it. After some complications with our mortgage, Jordan also referred us to a Nathan Zacharias (Real Estate and Mortgage Associate) who found us a mortgage despite a very short timeline, and an unusual lending situation. It was very reassuring to work with people that came so well recommended, and really helped to streamline the process.
We are very happy with our purchase and the help we received from Jordan throughout the process. We always felt like he was on our team and wanted us to find the perfect home for the right price, no matter how long it took. On top of the professionalism Jordan also made the process fun, we enjoyed going out to look at homes and discussing them with Jordan.
